Information about the wine

The wine comes from 0.46 hectares in the La Montagne vineyard (2.66 hectares total). The climate lies above Les Longeroies and in parts already extends into the forest, which cools the south-facing vineyard. After destemming, cool pre-fermentation, and spontaneous fermentation, the wine is slowly aged on the fine lees for 16 months in 228-liter barriques (mainly from François Frères) with a new wood content of 20 to 30%.

Dense garnet red

Nose

Of the three Marsannays from this vineyard, La Montagne is the most charming and open from the outset. It smells of wild strawberries, raspberries, dark cherries, and some plums, combined with dried herbs, undergrowth, some rocks, and branches.

Palate

This is a truly charming wine. It delights with the juiciness of the Pinot Noir, which flows smoothly across the palate with a subtle tannin. The wine displays a wonderful acidity that builds up momentum and brings the fruit to life. Although still very young, this is a wine that, after some exposure to air, is already a pleasure to drink and hard to resist.
