Product description for Casa Coste Piane Brichet, Colli Trevigiani IGT, Frizzante Naturalmente NV Casa Coste Piane is located in the heart of the classic Prosecco region in Santo Stefano di Valdobbiadene. The estate comprises a good six hectares and is farmed entirely organically. The vineyards are located between 250 and 400 meters above sea level on poor marl soils, and the vines are an average of 80 years old. Coste Piane’s vines come exclusively from selected vines propagated using the Massale selection to ensure a well-diversified gene pool without clones. The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand, and only the juice from the first pressing, the Tete de Cuvée, is used before the must ferments spontaneously with its own yeasts. In spring, the still-unfinished must is racked according to ancient tradition to complete fermentation in the bottle. Casa Coste Piane is part of the Consortium for Wine and Spirits (Consortium Vini Veri), which aims to produce natural wines and restore the perfect balance between human intervention and the cycles of nature.
