Wine Information

The grapes come from the historic Valpolicella Classico zones of Marano and Fumane and grow on limestone. They were fermented with wild yeasts.

Colour

Deep, dark cherry red, black at the core with minimal lightening towards the rim.

Nose

The 2013 Ravazzol Amarone Classico displays smoky aromas, truffle, a hint of lovage, with graphite and licorice. With a little oxygen, fruity aromas of rowanberry, sloe, and blackberry emerge. A complex wine, beautifully aged with hints of morbid charm.

Palate

Sweet, dense, and juicy, it rolls off the tongue. It flatters the palate incredibly, possessing a stimulating quality thanks to its fresh acidity, and the fine-grained and balanced tannin structure perfectly rounds out this wonderful drinking experience. Its maturity is at its peak, making it a fantastic food companion.
