Product description for Bret Brothers Beaujolais-Lantignié “Glou des Bret” Zen AOC 2023 (bio)
Wine Information
The wine comes from a 0.7-hectare plot located 230 meters above the village of Lantignié, which borders the Cru Régnié. The “Glou de Bret” is a Beaujolais-Villages de Montagne, whose vines are rooted partly in pink granite and partly in blue sandstone. The grapes were harvested on September 15, 2023, and fermented spontaneously as whole bunches in a carbonic maceration. There was no filtration or fining. The pH is 3.47, and the total SO2 is less than 10 mg/l.
Colour
Light, transparent crimson red.
Nose
This Beaujolais is spicy, juicy, fresh, cool, and refined. The “Glou des Bret” smells of tobacco and freshly opened walnut shells, red berries and violet blossoms, wild herbs and undergrowth.
Palate
On the palate, the Beaujolais-Village vibrates with freshness. It appears lively, transparent, and juicy with little extract, but a sensation of tingling on the tongue. The finish is spicy with light hints of licorice and deep red fruit, again with some tobacco and violet.
