Colour

Medium-bodied ruby red.

Nose

The 2022 Monta Amiata Sangiovese from Bakkanali oscillates on the nose from dark, ripe cherry fruit to spicy-smoky notes. Black cherries and dark mulberries outline the ripe Sangiovese, disciplined by black-smoked bacon and dark spice notes. Black pepper and cardamom outline the top note, along with dark tobacco and freshly roasted coffee.

Palate

Juicy on the palate, it appears fresher and, above all, more fruity than the nose suggests. With jovial fruit and a lively acidity, it is bordered by delicate phenolics that lend it further pace. Modern vinification with a joyful character and transparent aromatics. Exceptional Sangiovese for the carefree hours of existence.
