Sparkling golden yellow with delicate green reflections.

Nose

The 2020 Riesling Schlossberg is still somewhat shy due to its youth, but its compact and precise minerality is clearly evident. So pour it into the carafe, and it reveals apple, citrus, peach, lemon, and mango, as well as ginger, lemongrass, and anise. Delicate smoky notes and dried oyster shell are hinted at. A true diamond in the rough!

Palate

On the tongue, the acidity, typical of Rieslings grown on granite, spreads beautifully, accompanied by a salty minerality and delicate fruit sweetness. Here, Alsace shows itself at its best, with juiciness, length, power, and elegance. Very good aging potential, a charming food companion! If you want to enjoy it now, please decant it well in advance!
