Information about the wine

Cuisse de Nymphe is the name of a rose variety that is best picked early in the morning, when it is still cool and the dew still lies on the leaves. For better understanding, Flo Busch and Paola Ponsich renamed the wine Petite Nymphe. It is a cuvée of Carignan and Grenache Noir. The Grenache Noir comes from a vineyard with vines that are around 30 years old. The soil consists of limestone gravel and large river pebbles with a high quartz content. The Carignan comes from a vineyard with a mixture of yellow and blue limestone marl, sandstone, pebbles, and fossils. After being hand-picked, the grapes were pressed and fermented spontaneously. Aging took place in tanks for six months, and the wine was bottled unfiltered.

Nose

Although the colour of the Petite Nymphe 2023 looks so fruity, the wine’s aroma is more on the herbal side, accompanied by a hint of hash. There are also notes of flowers, grapefruit peel, and sour cherries.

Palate

On the palate, the rosé presents itself lively, juicy, and fresh. The grassy, herbal notes are also present, supported by the lively acidity. There are also crisp red berries, a hint of blood orange, anise, and licorice. The light tannin and a certain saltiness ensure a good drinking experience.
