Wine Information

This wine was formerly called Brutal Rouge. Today it is called Tommy Ferriol. It is a blend of 70% Syrah from ancient vines and 30% Muscat à Petit Grains. Fermentation is only three days in contact with the skins. Afterward, the wine is pressed, and further fermented and matured neutrally.

Color

Fairly transparent garnet.

Nose

The Tommy Ferriol initially smells of a compote of red and dark berries with some sour cherries. With air, the Muscat aroma intensifies, and then it is almost reminiscent of a Muscat Rollinger with roses, nutmeg, and a touch of hops. Added to this are strawberries and raspberries, cassis and currants, a touch of rock and wild herbs.

Palate

On the palate, the Tommy Ferriol is juicy with plenty of red berry fruit, herbs, hops, a lively acidity, and, above all, fine-grained tannins that provide good grip. This is a fresh, tonic red wine, a natural wine, and a vin de soif that you’ll devour in no time with friends and family, leaving you wondering why you didn’t order a magnum.
