Wine Information

The Melon de Bourgogne vines in the village of Vallet were planted in 1984. The soil consists of granite and gneiss bedrock with two micas of the Armoricain Massif. This parcel is one of the Luneau family’s historical treasures. It rises between two villages and is crossed by a river. The property, which officially belongs to the village of Vallet, sits on the top of a hill forming a 500 m wide strip of granite that slopes gently down to the gneiss of the village of Le Landreau.

Colour/Appearance

Light golden yellow with distinct green reflections.

Nose

Fresh and elegant is the credo of the 2020 L d’Or Muscadet Sèvre & Maine. Citrus, lemon zest, lemongrass, white peach, and apple mingle with subtle yeasty notes and almond. A hint of anise is also present.

Palate

Fruity with a subtle spice on the palate, its granite origins make it refreshing, extremely complex, and with promising aging potential. A sensual and mineral wine that loves classic French cuisine and inspires the senses.
