Wine Information
A Chardonnay from various vineyards of the domaine. 100% of the Chardonnay grapes were hand-harvested and, after destemming, spontaneously fermented in oak barrels. The wine was aged in multi-year-old oak barrels.
Color
Golden yellow with green-gold reflections.
Nose
This is a classic, typical Jura Chardonnay that plays with both reductive and oxidative notes. It is reminiscent of walnuts, apple tart, cider apple, rock, hawthorn, and sage, with a hint of flint and yeast.
Palate
On the palate, the wine is mouthwateringly salty and juicy, with a few tart vin de voile notes and the corresponding nuttiness. On the palate, it is pleasantly firm, dry, tart, and slightly oxidative, with a piquant bitter note on the finish. A classic with a fine grip, good length, and many food pairing options.
