Wine Information

This wine comes from the 1.3-hectare Les Pins vineyard. The vineyard is characterized by clay (41%), silt (50%), and sand (9%), lying at a depth of one meter on Asteria limestone bedrock. It lies at an altitude of 100 to 102 meters. This wine is made from 50% Cabernet Franc and 50% Merlot. The vineyard is farmed biodynamically, with agroforestry and permaculture practices integrated. After hand-harvesting, spontaneous fermentation followed, followed by aging in used oak barrels for 18 months. The wine was bottled without filtration or fining.

Colour

Garnet red, slightly transparent

Nose

The cuvée from the Les Pins vineyard is a wine with crisp red and dark berry fruit, blended with crème de cassis, yet remaining aromatically cool. In addition to the fruit, there are hints of rock and dry wood, as well as some dry leaves.

Taste

The palate also displays this cool, juicy berry fruit, along with a lively, clear acidity. The tannin is chalky, the wine juicy and drinkable, as well as transparent and so developed that it’s a pleasure to drink now.
