The 2022 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru is beautiful, wafting from the glass with scents of sweet red berries, rose petals, Indian spices, plums and vine smoke. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and seamless, it’s bright and pure, with melting tannins and a long, mouthwatering finish. The Clairs have begun experimenting with grafting over their vines in this climat, beginning with 150, to superior quality vine genetics.

The 2022 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru has a delightful, charming bouquet with a mixture of blackberry and blueberry fruit, pressed violets and iris flowers, and wonderful mineralité. The medium-bodied palate has grainy tannins. It’s very saline in the mouth, with a hint of licorice in the background. Very elegant and stylish, this lovely Bonnes-Mares has a long future ahead. Sublime.
