Description
The Claude Riffault vineyard is located in the tranquil village of Sury-en-Vaux, about seven kilometres from Sancerre. Since 2016, Stéphane and Bénédictine Riffault have been officially cultivating the 15.5 hectares of the estate according to ECOCERT certification, with BIODYVIN certification following in 2021. The Riffaults are fortunate in that their vineyards are located on all three of Sancerre’s typical soil formations, namely terres blanches, caillottes, and silex. The main focus is on terroir-driven Sauvignon Blancs. In addition to the typical estate Sauvignon, which can be drunk young, there are site and parcel wines that are characterised by the finest fruit and a clear and precise style.
