The vines for this estate wine are predominantly located in the Trarbach side valley around the Schlossberg. The exposure there varies from southeast to southwest. A perfect blend of morning and evening sun. Stylistically, this wine is clear, focused, and fruity at the same time. Aging takes place both in stainless steel and used wooden barrels. After racking, it continues only in stainless steel. Even the estate wine is fermented exclusively with natural yeasts and does not contain any additives.

Colour

Silvery, shiny straw yellow with light to green reflections.

Nose

Absolute purism in the glass. Riesling, origin, soil, and finesse come together here. With this lightness of the wines from Alexandra Künstler and Konstantin Weiser, we have a great wine before us, even in the entry-level segment. Light fruit and abundant herbs ensure freshness and vitality. Nettle, lemon balm, coriander, and mint dominate. The fruit is very typical of the variety, with lemon, green apple, and peach. Nothing is overtly striking; rather, it is very well balanced. Light vegetal notes provide accents and add complexity to the nose. I would like to highlight the pea and fennel, including their green notes.

Palate

With a slim 11% alcohol by volume, it underscores its ambition for finesse and lightness on the palate as well. It flows straight as a candle and is very drinkable. The aromas of the fruits and herbs are perfectly showcased. A fine stony note emerges, which, with the pleasantly measured acidity, builds up to a tasty finish. It is juicy and light at all times. Its slight astringency ensures that glasses are emptied quickly.
