Colour

Bright straw yellow with light and slightly green reflections

Nose

The nose is extremely appealing. Its aromas range from fruity to herbal. Nettle and sage are dominant. These are flanked by green mango, grilled pineapple, and papaya. Kaffir lime leaves and bergamot zest add fresh to tart accents. Star anise and clove lend it a delicate spiciness. Subtle yeasty nuances are reminiscent of brioche with salted butter.

Palate

Behind the Weingut am Klotz stands the Franz Keller winery. It is characterized by its tactile quality and appears very well structured. Its dense structure and very pleasant phenolics predominate over the fruit. The yellow aromas of the fruits are rich and distinct, but much quieter and brighter than on the nose. Behind this lie stony and mineral components that give it an almost salty flavour. This persists, binding the spicy aromas and herbal breeze in the background. Extremely stimulating and easy to drink. Far from sluggish, it ranks right at the top of its class in the national comparison.
