Description
The Champagne house was founded in Avize in 1989, but has picked up speed especially since 2009. The two families Waris and Larmandier, who have been producing champagne for five generations, have come together in this house. The majority of the vineyards are located in five Grand Cru sites of the Côte des Blancs, but there is also a smaller parcel in the Montagne de Reims as well as on the Côte des Bar. Since Jean-Philippe Waris joined the winery in 2009 as the eldest son of the house, it has been certified according to Demeter standards. His focus is on old vines and on making the base wines as perfect as possible, which is why he vinifies his wines at only 4.5 bar instead of the usual 6 bar. The entry-level champagne Racines de Trois is a cuvée of several grape varieties, the other white champagnes are Grands Crus from the Côtes des Blancs.
