Wine Information

The Les Terres de Buisson 2014 comes from a single vineyard in Cramant at 150 meters above sea level, located around three kilometers from the domaine. The Chardonnay vines were planted in 1969. The grapes were harvested by hand and pressed in a traditional 4,000 kg Coquard press. Only the juice from the first run was used for fermentation. The wine fermented and aged spontaneously in 600-liter demi-muids from Burgundy. Malolactic fermentation followed spontaneously after alcoholic fermentation. Aging sur lattes lasted at least five years. The approximately 700 bottles were disgorged by hand and not dosed.

Colour

Medium golden yellow with fine mousse

Nose

The Cuvée Les Terres de Buisson Grand Cru Zéro 2014 Cramant is a full-bodied champagne, but one that appears somewhat less lush and ripe than the other single-vineyard champagnes. Nevertheless, there are yellow pome and stone fruits with oranges and grapefruit, as well as tobacco and piquant, zesty aromas. These are overlaid with autolysis notes reminiscent of patisserie with vanilla cream.

Palate

Despite no dosage, the palate displays a distinct fruit and extract sweetness. The aging in wood leaves aromatic traces of vanilla and cinnamon. The acidity and mousse combine to create an effervescent effect. In addition to the juicy, ripe fruit, there are piquant, bitter, zesty notes and a hint of lime and chalk.
