Description
Product description for Valfaccenda Roero bianco DOCG 2023 (bio)
Wine Information
The grapes come mainly from two vineyards near the hamlet of Madonna di Loreto in the Faccenda Valley, Loreto and Mompellini. The different areas of the vineyard have different soils and exposures.
Vineyard Information
The Roero consists partly of fermented juice from destemmed grapes and partly of fermented whole bunches, the proportions of which can vary depending on the vintage. After approximately one month of fermentation, the wine matures until it is bottled unfiltered during the waning moon in late spring after the harvest.
Colour
Deep golden yellow.
Nose
The 2023 Roero Bianco has intense aromas of Boskop apple, apricot, quince jelly, roasted hazelnuts, and wild herbs. With oxygen, anise and candied ginger emerge. A complex and multifaceted introduction to the world of Italian white wines.
Palate
On the palate, it displays minerality and grip; the mid-palate is juicy and characterized by a melting, yeasty texture. You can practically bite into it, making it a wonderful accompaniment to hearty and authentic Italian cuisine.
