Information about the wine

90 minuts is a red wine cuvée with Garnacha as the protagonist, along with Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah to maintain balance and structure. The Trossos del Priorat winery matures the wine for 12 months in French barriques. The grapes come from organic vineyards in Gratallops, one of the main towns in the Catalan DOQ Priorat wine region. The rugged mountain region is about a 90-minute drive from Barcelona, which is also where the wine’s name comes from. And according to the label, it should take no longer than 90 minutes to empty the bottle. And lo and behold, this is indeed a wine with flow.

Nose

The bouquet is characterized by dark and red fruits. These are joined by notes of Mediterranean herbs such as thyme. Although 2022 was a hot vintage in Priorat, the nose is fresh and balanced.

Palate

The fruity aromas continue on the palate, with mineral accents and a light, stimulating herbal bitterness on the finish. The 90 minuts is a juicy wine with fine-grained tannins and pleasant acidity. The wood (12 months in barrique) is very well integrated. This red wine is easy to drink; it is a charming Priorat that is more on the elegant than the opulent side.
