Wine Information

A blend of Grenache and Carignan from the brown slate slopes of Maury. Matured as a Vin Doux Naturel. The designation Hors d’âge refers to wines that have been aged for a particularly long time (at least five years) in glass demijohns and/or wooden barrels.

Colour

: Bright brick red

Nose

The aroma of this wine is captivating. It is reminiscent of dried plums and peaches, cherries and raspberries along with candied ginger and candied orange peel, dark chocolate with mint and shortbread. There are also notes of lavender and cool rock. It’s easy to get lost in this aroma.

Palate

On the palate, the aged Maury is simultaneously fresh, ripe, and sensually creamy. The sweetness of the Vin Doux Naturel is balanced by the powerful acidity and blends with the blend of red fruit, dried fruit, ripe citrus notes, and warm butter biscuit. The length is as captivating as the lightness of the wine, despite its aromatic depth and 17.5% ABV.
