Description
The Tarlant family has been producing wine in Oeuilly since 1687. In 1911, Louis-Adrien Tarlant was involved in the uprisings of the Marne winegrowers. He drew his own conclusions from these events and bottled his own champagnes from 1928. In the 1980s, Jean-Mary Tarlant was one of the first to bottle a Zéro Dosage champagne. This has become the big attraction in Mélanie and Benoît Tarlant’s range. Benoît has been working at the winery since 1999, when he was still able to work alongside his father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He now produces wine from seven different varieties, from 13 hectares, and from 40 plots in four villages. Each parcel is vinified individually in different containers. The acid structure is important to him. He avoids malolactic fermentation as much as possible in his wines.
