The Azienda I Paglieri is somewhat hidden in the lower part of the village of Barbaresco. Today, the young and extremely likeable Luca is the fourth generation to run the estate, but always in close cooperation with his father, Alfredo. The work in the vineyards is sustainable. The vinification and ageing of the wines is done extremely traditionally for a long period of time in large wooden barrels. Barrique has never been an option for the family and never will be. For Luca, it is a matter of course to bring his great wines to market only when they have reached an initial drinking maturity, and not when the market calls for it. This explains the fantastic balance between the elegant tannin structure, the firm acid framework, and the fine, ripe fruit.
