Wine Information

30 hectares of vineyards, spread across 17 plots near Jouques, located around 30 kilometers north of Aix-en-Provence under the protection of the Montagne Sainte-Victoire, belong to Château Revelette. This is where the 2023 Blanc is produced. It is a cuvée of around 50% Rolle (Vermentino), 30% Ugni Blanc, and 20% Sauvignon Blanc. The grape varieties were harvested separately, macerated for around six hours, and fermented at 17°C. Malolactic fermentation took place. The wine was aged in cement tanks.

Colour

Medium straw yellow with a slight copper hue

Nose

The Château Revelette Blanc 2023 takes you south. Not to the deep south, where the grape varieties are already very spicy, but the origin is already clear. It smells of ripe yellow pears, hay and broom, lemon, white blossoms, and a hint of fennel pollen. Above all, it offers an impression of delicate freshness and vibrancy.

Palate

On the palate, the juicy, white-fleshed fruit combines with ripe acidity. The wine appears creamy and silky. The maceration time provided a subtle tannin texture, while the southern sun added charm and fullness, which Peter Fischer kept precisely in check during the harvest, so that the Blanc doesn’t seem opulent at all, but rather perfectly balanced. The finish then becomes southernly spicy with some fennel pollen and licorice in the pear fruit.
