Description
The Peter Jakob Kühn winery is one of the undisputed leaders in the Rheingau. Peter Jakob and his son Peter Bernhard are developing more and more into a dream team. There were times when the winery seemed to be looking for its way and fluctuated somewhat in style. In the meantime, the path is as clear as it is coherent. There are few wineries that are at the top of their game in all areas, be it the basic wines, the dry single-vineyard wines, or the noble sweet top wines. They are carried by a density and independence, but never too fat, always penetrating and present. Peter Bernhard earned his biodynamic spurs with Olivier Humbrecht and in Burgundy. You can feel it: the top Rieslings are sometimes reminiscent of the best white wines of Burgundy. The way to the top was also via biodynamics. This is now a matter close to the Kühns’ hearts, and many consider them pioneers. A special tip is the GG from the Jungfer, of which there is always only a half-piece.
