Wine Information

Pinot Noir from the Mandelberg and Im Sonnenschein vineyards on the Muschelkalk. Largely destemmed, aged in new or fairly new barriques.

Colour

Bright, slightly transparent garnet red.

Nose

The nose of the “R” is fine and elegant. The wood, which used to be very prominent, is now perfectly integrated. It is a Pinot Noir reminiscent of wild berries, sweet and sour cherries, but also a hint of cherry cream with a hint of vanilla and cinnamon. Added to this are forest notes such as leaves, undergrowth, and juniper.

Palate

On the palate, the wine has power and energy. Here, the wood is somewhat more roasted and present, but at the same time provides structure and a pleasant firmness that frames the red and dark fruit. It is a Pinot Noir with good depth of flavour, structure and length, with a slight pepperiness and smokiness in the finish.
