Origin

The Mauterner Ried “vom Stein” is a so-called “Ried within a Ried”. It belongs to the Ried “Silberbichl” and borders the Ried “Zaum” in Mautern and “Am Zaum” in Furth. The site covers a full 4.2 hectares and extends north-northeast from 209 to 237 meters up the slope. The vineyard is characterized by riprap soils with clay, loess, and Danube gravel.

Colour

Rich lemon yellow, ripe, yellow notes

Nose

A lush initial aroma is reminiscent of very ripe fruit, from apples to plums. Caramel notes and light butter pastries enrich the fruity bouquet. With a little oxygen, this opulence diminishes.

Palate

In the mouth, the overall impression is dense, ripe, well-structured, and balanced. Harmonious overall, with a successful complexity and a very appealing length with an exotic finish.
