Nose

Wow! What an appealing nose! The Integer Zibbibo has an intense aroma of stone fruit, oriental spice, and citrus fruits. Dried herbs push through the bouquet with immediate force. This leads to ripe mirabelle plums, peaches, and apricots on the nose. This brings with it some overripe khaki, as well as blood orange, mandarin, and orange. The orange is also evident in its blossoms and candied zest. The mandarin skin and blood orange juice round out this array of citrus aromas. Acacia, almond, and apple blossoms also have a moderating effect. In dried form, marjoram, oregano, and sage are present. Turmeric and saffron make their mark on the aromas. This excursion into the Orient is a sensory delight—especially in conjunction with the preceding aromas. Green walnut and walnut shell greet you. Pea shoots and artichokes add a vegetal final chord. An enormously diverse and fragrant wine.

Palate

It builds with power on the palate. Despite all the reminiscences of its fermentation, it presents itself as very drinkable, juicy, and lean. A true phenomenon. It focuses entirely on the fruit at a slim 11% alcohol by volume. One looks in vain for the broad sluggishness of the mash fermentation or any disturbing oxidation. All elements are perfectly matched with only one goal: a quickly empty glass. It is supported by a fine phenolic structure, gentle tannins, and abundant finesse. It is bone dry and ramrod straight with plenty of rough edges. Its bitterness is essential for the tension and easy drinking. In the aftertaste, a variety of aromatic groups come into play again. Oriental spices, dried herbs, and citrus fruits stand out.
