Wine Information

A blend of 40% Roussanne, 40% Marsanne, and 20% Viognier from organically farmed vines planted in three departments in the municipalities of Ampuis, Condrieu, Roussillon, and Vérin on a variety of soils, including biotite granite and Rhône alluvial soils. The grapes are harvested by hand. This is followed by natural vinification with direct pressing, indigenous yeasts, and eight months of aging in stainless steel tanks. Bottling in the winery takes place without fining, filtration, or the addition of sulfites.

Transparent lemon yellow

Nose

Le Grand Blanc is intensely aromatic from the very first moment and makes no secret of the presence of Viognier. The wine is reminiscent of elderberries and peonies, tangerines and their peels, lemons and oranges, peaches, and apricots.

Palate

On the palate, the wine is mouth-fillingly juicy with a beautiful, present acidity structure and a silky texture. Here, too, the aroma is clearly dominated by Viognier, but perfectly balanced with zesty notes in the long finish.
