The Condrieu is a 100% Viognier from old, organically farmed vines planted in the municipality of Vérin on the Lieut-Dit Le Tinal. The site has granite and biotite soils and faces south/southeast. The grapes were hand-harvested, fermented spontaneously, and aged for over a year in used barrels.

Colour

Bright lemon yellow with golden and green reflections

Nose

From the outset, Le Tinal is a fantastically dense yet fresh, clear, and delicate Condrieu, with intense aromas of apricots and peaches, tangerines and kumquats, mango and pineapple, ripe pears, violets, and acacia honey. There are also spicy notes such as fennel seeds, anise and coriander, with a touch of licorice and thyme. A wonderful cocktail of aromas.

Palate

On the palate, the wine manages to be simultaneously full-bodied and crystalline, lively and powerful, intense and floating. All the fruit and spice components are present, but where a typical Condrieu often seems rather broad, Le Tinal is razor-sharp, almost weightless, salty, and ethereal. This is greatness!
