The 2022 Riesling Niersteiner Pettenthal Grosses Gewächs beguiles with a shy hint of orange blossom and wet stone. This is followed by yeasty reduction, intense creaminess and aromatic lemon. This parcel is underneath the forested crest of the hill, shading half of the vineyard in the afternoon. The lemony intensity, that mouth-watering juiciness, defines the concentrated mid-palate. Tingling white pepper blends in with white citrus pith to deliver textural interest. The 2022 has drive, energy and a lovely echo of lemon zestiness.
