Nose

The 2014 Vouvray Pétillant is a full-bodied and expressive sparkling wine. Its aroma exhibits all the attributes of a ripe Chenin Blanc, with notes of beeswax, poached pears, pear quinces, and candied stone fruit. There are also slightly smoky notes and spices from the Arabian region.

Palate

As ripe as the Pétillant appears on the nose, it is just as juicy and fresh on the palate. The sparkling wine is enveloping, with both the juicy yellow fruit and the typical Pétillant mousse, which can be described as not necessarily delicate, but very distinctive. Overall, this type of sparkling wine has carved out a unique place for itself with its balance of elegance and rural origins. After all, it used to be the winemakers’ simple sparkling wine.
