2 days in a tree press, spontaneously fermented in large wooden barrels, 2 years on the lees.

Colour

Golden yellow with green reflections.

Nose

Flint, smoky, delicately peppery – that’s the first impression of the 2021 Grüner Veltliner Kalt und Klar. With oxygen, aromas of lemon peel, kumquats, green apple, and green gooseberry emerge from the glass. Everything is very fine, complex, and wonderfully interwoven.

Palate

Attack on the palate: The acidity, perfectly embedded in the fruit and body, sweeps across our palate. Saliva flows, the mind is stimulated. Everything seems invigorating and incredibly delicate, even the extremely moderate alcohol content of just 10% vol. A magnificent and delicately slim Grüner Veltliner that lets us float along.
