Wine Information

This wine comes from the Grand Cru Vaudésir. The Bouchards own 0.57 hectares there, planted by their father in 1992 on the exact spot where the famous, deep Vaudésir valley is located. After hand-picking and slow whole-bunch pressing, the wine was spontaneously fermented and aged in used tonneaux. This was followed by coarse filtration and light sulfurization.

Colour

: Light lemon yellow

Nose

The 2023 Vaudésir still has a somewhat restless nose from the fresh bottling, but this will subside. It is reminiscent of ripe green fruit and a touch of lime peel, herbs, lemon juice and salted lemon, some yeast, a touch of wood, and a hint of pineapple.

Palate

On the palate, the Vaudésir presents itself with a fine, bright juiciness. This is complemented by a melting texture, a pleasant density, silkiness, and elegance, as well as a very refined expression with a creamy yet citrusy, pineapple-like note. The finish is salty and juicy with a herbal note and a touch of wood.
