Product description for Clemens Busch Riesling trocken 2023 (bio)This estate wine comes exclusively from our own vineyards in Pünderich. A short maceration period gives the must stability and structure. Partly fermented in old barrels and partly in steel tanks. At a low 10.5% alcohol by volume, it has 5.7g/l residual sugar and 7.9g/l acidity. Crisp values.

Colour

: Clear, bright straw yellow with green inclusions.

Nose

: The nose clearly reveals its DNA. A Riesling from the Moselle with clear slate characteristics and a very energetic environment. Full of vitality, it builds up on the nose. The fruit is clearly recognizable, albeit slightly in the background. White peach, Nashi pear, yellow apple, and mirabelle plum are prominent. Grapefruit and bergamot provide a pleasant freshness on the nose. A rich herbal spice, bursting with energy, then builds up. Chervil, lemon balm, lemon thyme, sage, mint, and coriander are omnipresent for minutes.

Palate

: On the first sip, the team around Clemens and Johannes Busch immediately demonstrates that they can and want to deliver in the estate wine category. With high pressure and plenty of freshness, it runs ramrod straight. With many green, herbal aromas, it also displays a finely tart and, above all, stony to earthy side. The origin and soil fully come through. Its energy thrives on the herbs in the finish and lingers for an enormously long time. Acidity and fruit duel on equal terms. But its tart, dry character gives it plenty of flow and is practically endlessly stimulating. Juicy yet robust. Lean and racy. With plenty of length and the highest quality for this price level.
