Product description for Cirelli Pecorino IGT Colline Pescaresi 2024 (bio)The vines for the Pecorino Colline Pescaresi come from contract farming and grow on lean clay-limestone soils. The grapes are harvested by hand, destemmed, and macerated for 24 hours before being drawn off in stainless steel tanks and fermented spontaneously with their own yeasts.

Pale yellow with silver reflections.

Nose

The 2024 Pecorino from Francesco Cirelli is exceptionally disciplined on the nose for a youthful Pecorino. The fruit excesses are kept within limits; hints of passion fruit leaves, passion fruit, papaya, star fruit, and orange blossom outline its slightly tropical character, complemented by herbal and spicy notes of bay leaf and chervil in the top note.

Palate

Cirelli’s 24-year-old collection is a seamless whole: On the palate, the wine is flanked by tart phenolics, lending it a powdery grip. The restrained tropical fruit is refreshingly restrained on the palate, with ripe acidity remaining moderate in the background, evoking the existing citrus notes more through their oils than their juices.
