Description
Product description for Chêne Bleu Viognier IGP 2022 (bio)
Wine Information
This Viognier comes from 20-year-old vines located at an altitude of 550 meters facing north. The soil is characterized by clay and limestone, and is very stony. After gentle pressing and spontaneous fermentation, the wine was aged for eight months in demi-muids.
Color
Bright golden yellow with a slight green hue.
Nose
The 2022 Viognier is a round and ripe wine, with aromas of lily of the valley, clover, honeysuckle, and fruits such as apricots and peaches, as well as traces of beeswax, vanilla, and wood.
Palate
On the palate, the vintage’s smoothness and richness are evident, combined with juicy fruit and ripe acidity. In the background, you can find traces of wood aging with fine vanilla and oak, along with hints of almond. The wine has volume and power and easily accompanies intense dishes.
