Info

A cuvée of Roussanne, Grenache Blanc, and Marsanne, as well as a touch of Viognier. The vineyard is located high up in the Ventoux. After manual harvesting, the berries are sorted twice. Lowest yields with the highest fruit quality. Fermentation takes place in small batches in the modern cellar, which is completely subordinated to gravity. A mixture of traditional and ultra-modern techniques is used in the cellar. Fermentation and aging take place for eight months in small wooden barrels.

Colour

Intense, bright lemon yellow with green reflections.

Nose

Abundant warm aromas flow from the glass. Kaffir lime leaves envelop the scent of grapefruit, blood orange, mango, and pineapple. A touch of khaki and ripe apricot complement this wonderfully. It has a nutty aroma of walnuts and almonds. This, too, is in wonderful harmony with the fruit. Oriental spice is reminiscent of turmeric and ras el hanout, as well as cinnamon sticks and cardamom. Rosemary, lavender, ethereally fragrant pine groves and pine cones, and the omnipresent garrigue add the finishing touches to the Mediterranean. However, the fruit and spice are always enlivened by cooling elements.

Palate

All of these impressions are combined on the palate. It flows oily and generously across the palate. The fruit reveals itself in all its facets. It is lush in its aroma, but concentrated in its mouthfeel, which I greatly appreciate. Thus, it also benefits from fine acidity and stony hints, which activate it very well. The spicy Mediterranean and oriental aromas offer a beautiful duel in the finish.
