Wine Information

This wine with the silver label is a rigorous selection of Riesling grapes grown on the steep, chalky slopes of the Wonnegau region around Hohen-Sülzen and the Zeller Valley. Harvested by hand, reselected at the sorting table, aged in large, old double-barrel barrels and stainless steel, and left “sur lie” well into spring.

The nose of the 2024 Riesling Eisquell reveals mirabelle plum, apricot, and countless fresh aromas of citrus, orange, and grapefruit. This explosion of freshness is paired with intense herbal notes, ginger, and a mineral depth that makes a real statement even in Battenfeld Spanier’s entry-level segment.
