Nose
The 2019 Atalante from Attis opens up with intense aromas that demand a decanter beforehand to fully develop. Cool rocky notes mingle with grapefruit, banana, a subtle roasted note, a hint of latte, and brittle. Additional intensity is given by fresh sage, rosemary, and thyme, as well as by the toasting of these same herbs.
Palate
This wine really packs a punch on the tongue, seducing with plenty of spice, saltiness, and grip. The fruity notes of grapefruit, orange, and lime, combined with plenty of structure and complexity, make it a wonderful food companion. The sea is calling, and with Atalante, we follow it. What a joy. Be sure to decant and enjoy it from a large glass, not too cold.
