Wine Information

In 2020, a new plot was planted in the TOP Pinot Noir location in Eppan with many different clones and mass selections on different rootstocks, resulting in a total of 20 different Pinot Noirs.

2023 was the first small harvest, this exciting plot, which will be part of Krafuss in the future.

Fermentation took place for 7 days in large wooden barrels, without whole bunches, followed by aging in large wooden barrels for 16 months.

Color

Light garnet red with violet reflections.

Nose

The 2023 PINOT NOIR LIL’ KRA XXIII is fresh and captivating in its aroma, with notes of sour cherry, josta, blueberry, and cassis emerging from the glass. Fine graphite and herbal notes underline the overall impression with a delicate touch.

Palate

The palate is delicate, fruity, and effervescent, with a spectacularly low alcohol content of 11.5% vol. The fruit is elegantly prominent, the tannins are polished and velvety, and the acidity is ripe and invigorating. A poem to accompany spicy dishes, best served slightly chilled. Red wine from South Tyrol has been reimagined here; bravo to Alois Lageder and his team. This is elegant Pinot Noir par excellence.
