Description
The Abbatuccis are a long-established Corsican family. Their most famous members were Général de la Révolution, Diplomate d’Empire, and Ministre Impérial. Today, three of Corsica’s most impressive wines pay tribute to their illustrious ancestors. A new dawn came in 2000, when Jean-Charles turned to biodynamics and focused on the heritage of the old vines. The terroir of the domaine is granite covered with sand and silt, facing north and northeast with slight variations. This orientation naturally provides freshness and tension in the wines. Harvesting is done by hand, and the grapes arrive in crates at the cellar where the harvest is systematically selected. The fermentation is carried out with natural yeasts, and the white wines are matured on the lees without stirring and only filtered if necessary.
