Wine Information

This single-varietal Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) comes from vineyards at an altitude of 900 meters in the DO Ribera del Duero. In the past, the plots on the plateau above the Duero Valley were subject to increased frost risk, and the grapes did not always ripen fully. But today, these cool, elevated locations are among the best and most sought-after in the entire region, as they contrast with the intense sunlight and generally produce fresher, more vibrant musts. Gran Callejo ages for two years in French barriques and three years in the bottle before release. Due to its five-year aging period, it is classified as a Gran Reserva.
