The young vines here reflect a light, fruity image of the region. The typical characteristics of the high altitudes on sand and clay are easily combined here. 100% Tinto Fino from various parcels at 830 and 850 meters above sea level find their way into the cuvée. Fermentation and aging take place for five months in both steel tanks and 500-liter oak barrels.

Colour

Dark cherry red with subtle violet accents.

Nose

The nose is clearly reminiscent of dark blossoms and is charming. Black cherries, raspberries, and blackberries build slowly. The fruit is expansive and at times still a little below its potential due to the reduction at this young stage. With air or patience, however, this quickly disappears. Chocolate, but much more licorice, provide a contrast. A light herbal spice, led by rosemary, now mingles with the fruit.

Palate

On the palate, it appears absolutely clean and uncomplicated. Its initial presentation is cool and surprisingly subtle. Its fleshy appearance initially seems robust and leans towards the tannin. The acidity can also fully pack in the fruit, so that it knows how to combine many good attributes. Its acidity remains stimulating, while the fruit softens somewhat to allow the spice to take center stage once again. Licorice, rosemary, and a touch of juniper linger for a long time.
