The 2022 Meursault Les Vignes de Marguerite comes from the mid-slope of Les Luchets and Les Chevaliers; the vines around 80 years old. It is perhaps the most primal of all Buisson’s cuvées at the moment, certainly the most leesy. The palate is a little reductive on the entry, yet there is fine tension and vibrancy, quite steely in style, rending it rather Puligny-like. It will require two or three years in bottle, but it will be worth the wait because it shimmers with freshness and nascent vitality.
