They also had a lot of mildew at the Pla de Manlleu in 2020, but they did the same as in Priorat, working a lot more in the vineyard to prevent it. The result is that they got grapes to produce the 2020 Terra Vermella when most people lost the crop. It has a complex and developed nose with notes of herbs and a hint of petrol, less reductive than other years. It has a moderate 11% alcohol with a pH of 3.24 and 3.91 grams of acidity; it was a very rainy year, and the wines are more elegant and fresher. 1,860 bottles produced. It was bottled in January 2022.

The 2020 Terra Vermella is 100% Parellada Montonega—a slightly different variant of Parellada—sourced from Pla de Manlleu and aged for 12 months in oak barrels. This white wine with a green sheen offers aromas of vermouth and struck match along with faint smoky and petrol hints, all set against an oxidative green apple backdrop. Dry and refreshing, the lean palate resembles those of vin jaune without undergoing the same aging process—a modern take on Penedès.
