Colour

Dense purple, violet reflections

Nose

The Côtes du Rhône “No Wine’s Land” is made from a single Syrah grape variety. The nose is still subtly characterized by the reduction. This makes it appear lean, cool, and aromatically concentrated. Floral nuances of lilac and violet are particularly evident, as is a hint of hibiscus. Its fruit appears wild and impetuous: wild raspberries, sour cherries, and sweet cherries. Pickled morello cherries and plums. Behind the fruit, it seems a little cold and metallic. White pepper and sage lend it a delicate spice.

Palate

It follows seamlessly on the impressions gained. Concentrated fruit, lean and racy. Matthieu Barret has bottled a delicate wine with a flowing texture, a certain nonchalance, yet seriousness. A sophisticated everyday wine. Full of elegance and finesse, the fruit is cool, small-berry, and tart. With a high astringency, the glasses empty quickly. Like blackcurrant juice, it combines fruit with delicate tannins and crisp acidity. Please, more of this!
