Wine Information

Roter Tement is a 50% Blauer Zweigelt and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon wine from various vineyards in Southern Styria with weathered soils. The vines are between 12 and 45 years old.

Vine Information

After spontaneous fermentation, it is aged in wooden barrels for over 80 months.

Colour

Rich violet-red.

Nose

The 2015 RT from old vines has an intense, almost ethereal nose, with aromas of cassis, blackberry, sour cherry, eucalyptus, and wild mint. Upon exposure to oxygen, notes of fine dark chocolate, black Kampot pepper, tree bark, porcini mushrooms, beetroot, and truffles emerge. A truly impressive opening full of depth, power, and finesse, evident even in the aroma.

Palate

On the tongue, it captivates with salty and spicy notes combined with juicy dark fruit, invigorating acidity, and perfectly mature tannins. What a wonderfully impressive, powerful red wine that once again scores with depth and elegance. Perfect with hearty grilled and braised dishes! Enjoy lightly chilled from large glasses!
