Its transparent freshness and delicate acidity make it the perfect Barbaresco for now—or while waiting until the 2016 vintages are ripe.

Ruby red, transparent, bright, and clear.

Nose

Grown on barren soils of pure limestone, the 2014 Currá is open-hearted and approachable. Ethereal notes of Mediterranean herbs such as thyme and rosemary open the overture on the nose, followed by small red cherries, fully ripe plums, and floral aromas. A crescendo of white pepper and cool minerality in the aftertaste launches it into a fruity finish. Applause and off we go.
