The 1999 Enoteca Turó d’en Mota is the first vintage of the single-vineyard sparkling wine to be released. It is a very limited Enoteca release of only 150 bottles, which were disgorged after 23 years and five months in bottle with lees. 1999 was the first vintage of the Turó d’en Mota wine, a wine that changed the perception of the sparkling wines from the zone, Cava at the time, Corpinnat today, carrying no appellation of origin. It was a wine released after 100 months in bottle and with a price of 100 euros. The 1999 winter was very cold and dry, and the year finished with an average temperature below the historical average and with 393 liters of rain (below the average of 528 liters). The grapes were harvested the 11th of September, when they picked 4,330 kilos of grapes, which represented a yield of 23 hectoliters per hectare. There is incredible finesse here, and the wine is complex, toasty and herbal, with the classical bitter twist in the finish and very small bubbles that give it texture but are slowly fading. 150 bottles were hand-disgorged without freezing the neck in September 2023.
