Wine Information

The Argos is a single-varietal Sauvignon Blanc from Guillaume Sorbe. The fruit comes from plots in Quincy with vines on predominantly gravelly-limestone soils. After spontaneous fermentation, the wine was aged for three years, partly in tanks, but mainly in used 400- and 600-liter barrels. Since the 2018 vintage, the Quincy has been declared a Vin de France.

Nose

Guillaume Sorbe’s Argos is an elegant and precise Sauvignon Blanc. It is reminiscent of classic gooseberries, some white currants with leaves, lemon sorbet, limes, nettle leaves, and a hint of passion fruit.

Palate

On the palate, the Sauvignon Blanc is juicy, silky, and fresh, yet deep and vibrant. The Argos offers great fullness on the palate, combined with freshness and precision, with salty, tart notes and a chalky texture on the finish. It has plenty of body, juiciness, a very pleasant acidity, power, and length.
